We sold our cottage in the mountains four years ago and the tenants waved their right to a home inspection. Then experienced a flood in the basement. The place is 35 years old. The basement is cement with low ceiling and a cinder block foundation with spray foam insulation. Over the ten years of owning the place we did have some water infiltration in the Spring if the snow melted quickly but it wasn’t a big deal with two sump pumps and we disclosed it on our sellers declaration. They are accusing us of understating the problem which is not true. They replaced the foundation and want compensation.
Court case is on April 30th. This lays heavy on our heart and we ask for prayer coverage until a ruling is made. Thank you everyone who will lend support in prayer!
